Grades: 6th-12th (Fall 2020)
9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m., then 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Participants will learn how to be a photographer and “make a photograph.” Each day we will meet to learn some new techniques and skills. Students will learn how to shoot award-winning photographs. They will practice following and breaking the rules of photography while exploring both silly and serious assignments. Students will have choice and explore projects of their own personal interest. We will use smaller breakout groups to critique photography and collaborate.
What Will a Sample Day Look Like for a Participating Camper?
Students will login in for a morning meeting, demonstrations, and/or instruction. Participants will be given assignments to practice photography throughout the day. We will meet again after lunch to discuss progress, critique shots, and play games.
Will the Program Run Through Zoom or Video Recordings or something similar? This program will be done through a combination of zoom calls and pre-recorded content for students to access both during camp and after it has ended. You can download Zoom for free: https://zoom.us/
