The Father of our Country, George Washington, himself, will kick off the week on Sunday, June 9.
Meet A Flag Maker June 10 – 14 from 11am – 3pm, including Margaret Manny, Ann King, and Cornelia Bridges.
June 10 – 14 from 3 – 4pm, Curator’s Corner gives you an up-close look at some unique objects from the House’s collection.
Meet modern day flag makers from the Defense Logistics Agency who embroider Presidential flags right here in Philadelphia on Friday, June 14.
Also on Flag Day, June 14, the House hosts its annual Naturalization Ceremony, welcoming 13 new citizens featuring a concert of patriotic tunes by the U.S. Army Brass Quintet.
The week culminates with An American Music Celebration featuring the Philadelphia Heritage Chorale directed by J. Donald Dumpson at 3 p.m. on June 15.
