Hear historian Susan McAninley bring to life the story of immigration in Philadelphia during the years 1873 to 1915. Over 1 million immigrants arrived in Philadelphia at Pier 53. After researching her own family story, McAninley began to wonder about all the other names she saw on the manifest lists. She began researching them and created a powerful program that explores what it was like to be an immigrant arriving in Philadelphia during the early 20th century. Limited seating due to covid restrictions. Free, suggested donation $2/person.
The Mansion open for guided tours. Masks required for program & mansion tour. Call 610-287-9349 to register for this program and a guided tour. All ages; FREE, suggested donation $2/person.
