"The Great Philadelphia Comedy Magic Walking Tour" is one of only three magic walking tours in the world and the only one on the east coast. This Philly original version is lead by local award winning magician, Robert Malissa. He leads the group past historic and offbeat locations in Old City. Each location is the inspiration for a fun and mind-bending magic trick. All the presentations are origianl and some of the tricks and methods are his own creation as well. So what's different? Outside the Arden, visitors are treated to a musical parody from Les Mis, "Do You Hear the People Sing". The lyrics guide the spectators as they pick cards, have them lost, and then found. It is believed to be the only musical card trick in existence. As an encore, there is a parody of the Star Spangled Banner in the Betsy Ross House Courtyard. There is also a cape-wearing character named Mindalagosi, who predicts a 4 digit number created by the group as the history of the street names at Welcome Park is explained. In short, the tour is a unique experience that cannot be had anywhere else.
