Join us for the FIRST Head for the Cure 5K – Philadelphia, a special event dedicated to raising critical funds and awareness to support Philadelphia’s brain cancer community. This uplifting day benefits six esteemed local institutions, including Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, Jefferson Health, and Penn Medicine, enabling continued groundbreaking care and research.
All runners and walkers—of every age and skill level—are warmly invited to participate in our 5K. Families with young children are especially encouraged to join in the fun, starting with our exciting Kids Fun Run, which kicks off 15 minutes before the main race. Our young athletes will race approximately 100 meters, receive their own special medals, and then have the option to join their families in the 5K or stay entertained at our lively Kids Zone.
The Kids Zone will feature endless entertainment, including face painting, balloon twisting, delicious snacks, fun goodies, appearances by local mascots, and favorite superheroes and princess characters. There's truly something fun and memorable for everyone!
Beyond the excitement and joy, this event provides a meaningful opportunity to honor and celebrate the resilience of brain cancer survivors, the dedication of caregivers, and the tireless efforts of healthcare heroes who play essential roles in supporting those affected by this challenging disease. Together, we will stand united, sharing hope, inspiration, and community spirit.
Join us as we support and uplift the Philadelphia brain tumor community—celebrating courage, strength, and the power of coming together. We look forward to seeing you there!
